Friday Apr 10, 2026
They Drafted 2017's Best Films Before You Even Remembered They Existed
The Film Dogs are back in the draft room and this time they're raiding 2017, one of the most stacked years in recent cinema history. Mr. B defers his number one pick to gain an extra Wild Card and the board gets flipped upside down before round two is even done.
In this episode: Mr. B loses his number one pick in the first 30 seconds and has to regroup | Lord Marcus delivers a full emotional breakdown about aging, Gen X heroes, and why Logan hit different this time around | The Safdie Brothers get their flowers | Lord Marcus drafts the director of The Substance before anyone knew who she was | A family film makes the final pick and somehow nobody's mad about it | Plus: John Wick 2 causes a mild political incident on a film podcast.
The draft? Absolutely loaded. The chaos? Immediate. The boards? Two of the strongest they've ever put together.
Ghost Story. Blade Runner 2049. Get Out. Phantom Thread. Mother!. Good Times. Logan. This is 2017, baby and they're fighting over Every Single. One! Find out who and what's drafted in our 7 categories of:
Drama
Action/Thriller
Horror/Sci-fi/Fantasy
Box Office Darling
Award Darling
Comedy/Animated/International
Wild Card.
Listen now to find out who walked away with the best team, whether deferring that first pick was worth it, and which film Lord Marcus would trade his entire 2018 draft to own.

A Week With: Brad Pitt (F1 The Movie)
Friday Dec 12, 2025
Friday Dec 12, 2025
Brad Pitt’s back in the driver’s seat! So with F1: The Movie landing on Apple TV+ this weekend, Film Dogs is back with another instalment of “A Week With.”
Not a Top 10. Not a ranking spiral. Just seven nights on the couch, celebrating the movies that explain the whole creature that is Brad Pitt.
We’ll admit one obvious staple: Se7en is in. The rest? Classified… because suspense is good for the soul and terrible for your group chat.
Also inside: takes guaranteed to start a comment fire - Guy Ritchie’s Pride & Prejudice, Cliff Booth vs Bruce Lee, and Lord Marcus calmly warning anyone who thinks The Last Jedi is a good film.
Full Pitt list revealed in the episode. Bring snacks. Bring arguments. Bring beers.

A Week With: Sir Ridley Scott
Friday Nov 28, 2025
Friday Nov 28, 2025
Lord Marcus and Mr. B kick off a brand-new Film Dogs series: “A Week With” – seven films that we would use to introduce someone to a filmmaker, not a strict “best of” or ranked top 7. Think of it as spending seven nights on the couch with one of cinema’s greats and asking, “Who is this person, really?”
To launch the series, we’re starting big: Sir Ridley Scott. Across seven movies we talk about the worlds he builds, the way he shoots bodies and battlefields, his obsession with shoot first fix it later… and which iconic titles we controversially leave out of the line-up. You won’t believe what’s left in and what’s taken out.
Follow along with our Ridley Scott week, tell us your seven-film line-up.

Wednesday Apr 16, 2025
Lord Marcus and Mr. B are back for round 2! Drafting their favourite films from before the year of Mr B's birth... 1988.
Of course, Lord Marcus continues to march to the beat of his own drum by drafting a rather odd film he classifies as "fun", along with then taking MULTIPLE FILMS from one of his most influential international directors. Mr. B honours a childhood family favourite along with taking some obvious on-brand choices from some legendary directors.
The 7 draft categories used:
Drama
Action/Thriller
Comedy/Animated/International
Box Office Darling
Awards Darling
Horror/Sci-fi/Fantasy
Wild Card

2025 Oscars: Live Commentary and Reactions
Saturday Mar 08, 2025
Saturday Mar 08, 2025
For your pleasure and for something a little different, in this episode Lord Marcus and Mr. B offer their live thoughts and reactions during a watch-along of this year's Oscars ceremony.
Mr. B sets off Lord Marcus by claiming to have inspired his love of Adrien Brody's performance in The Brutalist and Lord Marcus shares his anti-love of Ben Stiller. We show some love to the winners and their speeches. For a deeper dive, our last episode is a good look into who the Film Dogs wanted to win on the big night. The rants are too many to count but this was fun episode indeed.
The conversation has been heavily edited to get rid of the extended ad breaks and silence and have left you with the meat and potatoes of the night. Enjoy!

2025 Oscar Nominations - Plus: A Film Dogs Fairy Tale Beginning
Thursday Feb 13, 2025
Thursday Feb 13, 2025
In this episode, Mr. B and Lord Marcus share thoughts on "who should actually WIN" at the upcoming 2025 Oscars. We also harken back to the fairytale beginnings of the Film Dogs Podcast, names that didn't work, "wait... they actually have dogs?!?!" and why are we the way we are [an impossible question we try to answer]?
Also included, Mr B. gives you a tip for ordering at restaurants and gives musical ode to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Lord Marcus rants around the controversial use of AI in film making, the ridiculousness of the "us vs. them" mentality, why we excluded but still applaud specific films in our Oscar discussion, and of course... 30 Seconds to Mars...?
